New Orleans

Most people, in or out of state, think of New Orleans as a sinful city. Violence is common and drunks litter the streets. New Orleans has the highest missing persons rate of any other city. It also hold the top spot for murder rates.
"Although a very popular tourist destination, New Orleans is the most dangerous city in the entire United States and is number four in the entire world. It is ranked as number 1 in terms of murders, 2 in terms of burglary. It also ranks in the top 20 of auto theft and assault."
-Associated Continent Magazine (2009) (These statements were also supported by many other articles.)
Every city has its negative qualities, New Orleans' just stand out a little more. But what would you expect! New Orleans is also one of the most densely populated cities. An extreme amount of people living so close together attributes to the extreme violence rate.
On a more positive note, most people will also admit that it is one of the most culturally fascinating cities in the country. The historic architecture as well as the gorgeous trees that create intricate canopies above the streets give the city a sense of age. As you walk down the streets, it is common to be greeted by brass bands just playing for the love of music. No where else can you find such a diverse group of people living in such close quarters.
