meh

Yesterday, I went to the Zoo and although it was freezing cold I was highly impressed. There was so many animals, and I was not expecting that at all. I thought it was going to be a small zoo with only a few animals, but it was nothing like that. There was flamingos, bears, sea lions, and oh my gosh just so many creatures! I also really liked that it was crowded at all. They had so many cute creatures, and I liked that everything was so close and the map was so exact. The girl that worked at the ticket sale thing, however, was so rude. She was so obnoxious and made it seem absurd that we were asking " Is this where you buy tickets?" It was frigid while walking around, and that made the experience less enjoyable. My favorite animal I think I saw was the flamingo, it was so bright and cool. I also liked the leopards, they were so beautiful, and in the zoo you were able to get so close to them. I was mad that a lot of the animals had gone inside due to the cold, like the turtles and certain birds. I was just so surprised they had so many animals and so many different exhibits available.

Tonight, I went to the Hornets Game at the Hive and I was pleasantly surprised with the Venue. My sorority wanted us to go because the committee or group that had the most people would win money, and we thought we really had a good shot. I was so aggrevated and didn't think I was going to go because the busses were leaving at 5, but the game wasn't even starting until 730. I had just gotten out of class at 4:30 and hadn't been back to my room all day so I was just so stressed out. The Hive was really cool, and the set up really impressed me because it seemed like no matter where anyone was sitting it seemed like they could have a good seat. It was so sad because there was no one there. The venue was so large but it seemed like there was sooooo many open seats. The game was decent, but because there wasn't that many people there the hype was definitely not there. I liked all the sound effects and songs they had during the game. I believe one of the half time show was the "elderbees" and they were so funny! I loved them so much, it was a bunch of old women doing like all these modern dance moves to new songs, like "Stanky Leg" and just hilarious new steps. They were playing the Phoneix Sun's and they just seemed a lot more together as a team. The Hornets team just seemed like jumbled together with all different people that just weren't that amazing. I just felt bad that they don't have the support or fans like the other teams in the NBA. I thought there would be a lot more people present because it was a Loyola event, but there was not. A girl from our school sang the National Anthem, and she was amazing. Overall, it was a decent time, but I don't think I would be going to another game anytime soon.
